I'm curious, is there a reason behind Face Claim only?

I have two friends that would LOVE to join but won't because they have to use a Face Claim. Is there a way to make an exception or something? They both have great art and are wonderful writers and roleplayers and I'd love them to join.

My reason behind the 'Face Claims Only' is because I've seen too many people making a character using original artwork that isn't of high quality. And, I like my high quality anime people, dammit! D<

-coughs- I will allow them to use their own original artwork if they have at least three high quality images for them. -nods- Reason? So they can't have icons! It's kinda boring when you only have one image for a character.
