Everyone was living their lives normally without a care in the world, completely oblivious to the fact that not everyone was who they seemed. The seasons changed and life went on like any other day. That is, until September 12th, 2024 in a small town in the Hokkaido prefecture. A new student transferred into the town's only school, and that student seemed like all the others. Well, at least he did seem like them. You see, getting changed for a gym class or swimming can easily reveal a lot about someone. When they were changing to go out for track, the new student refused to change. The other boys teased him, and it finally got to the point where they forced the hoodie that the student was wearing off. That was when a tightly kept secret was revealed to the world--the boy had perfectly real cat ears and a tail. Within seconds, the boy was swept away from the school and off to a laboratory. He was tested on for genetics as the scientists tried to come up with an explanation for the animalistic traits. October 17th, 2024, Tokyo. An infamous man, known for kidnapping and selling young boys and girls in the black market, giving him the name 'Slave Master', stumbled upon a young girl huddled in a dark alleyway. From what little light that was given from a nearby street lamp, he could faintly make out the silhouette of two large, feathered wings wrapped around her body. He approached, and she backed away until she was left with just three walls and a man surrounding her. Slave Master was able to capture the winged girl before she was able to spread her wings to fly. October 18th, 2024, Tokyo. Slave Master began another slave auction under one of his friend's casinos. The last 'item' up for bidding was the girl he caught only a day before. The bidding for the girl was ten times the amount a 'high quality' adolescent human went for. This information was brought to the government's attention. November 1st, 2024, Tokyo. The Japanese government made a public announcement that, as long as Slave Master gives a fourth of his earnings to the government, it will be legal to capture and auction off this 'new' species. Within a matter of minutes, Slave Master was sending out his men to find and capture these 'creatures'. November 24th, 2024, Hokkaido prefecture. Government scientists report their findings on the 'new' race of beings. They inform the world that these 'creatures' are actually an ancient race of intelligent beings called the Kemono who went into hiding when man began to populate the Earth. December 14th, 2024, the World. More and more Kemono have been found and captured. Most were shipped off to Tokyo to be sold in Slave Master's auctions while some were kept as pets by anyone who found them and were not one of Slave Master's men. 2025 July 16th, 2025, Tokyo. Kemono slaves have become very popular, and the average Kemono can sell for at least 1,800,000 Yen under the right circumstances. The slaves are either forced to do work for their new master, walk around with them (often times with a collar and leash) like some show dog, or do rather... 'unpleasant' things to pleasure their masters. Kemono Slave Auctions are still legal, and there aren't any signs of it becoming illegal anytime soon.
