He had an older sister, and he despised her with a passion. She would always dress him up like a doll, whether in suits or dresses, until he was finally able to get her to stop when he turned ten. Well, he got his father to stop her. He kind of hid behind his father a lot as a child. Kunzite took an interest in singing ever since he went to see a live concert when he was six. He begged his mother to get him voice lessons, and she was rather thrilled at the thought of her 'little boy' becoming a singer. His father wasn't too pleased with the idea at first, but he soon loosened up after hearing Kunzite sing after a few lessons. When he turned eleven, his house burned down. During a blizzard. How that happened, he didn't know. However, his parents and sister were killed. The boy was left wandering the streets of Sweden. In the snow. The blizzard had, thankfully, ended, allowing him to see clearly. He lived off scraps of food and slept in alleyways for a few weeks until he started singing on street corners for food. He was pretty successful, unlike others who do the same thing. A man from Japan (lul, rhyme) stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the boy sing. Kanzite was able to easily switch between songs in three different languages--Swedish, Japanese, and English. The man instantly took an interest in the teal haired boy, and he offerred him a home back in Japan. Kunzite accepted. A few years passed, and Kunzite made his debut in Japan, at only fourteen. He was quite popular with the girls, but he had no interest in them. After his experience with his sister when he was younger, he was actually cold toward the female population. However, for some odd reason, his fanbase kept growing. Critics thought he wouldn't be able to continue singing after puberty hit. Guess what? It hit, and his voice didn't deepen that much. At seventeen, he was still able to sing in his normal range and lower for those songs that require it. When the whole Kemono 'outbreak' occurred, he really didn't show much interest in them.
