His mother had been a tourist on vacation when she met his father the Romani, sometimes known as a gypsy, man. They two traveled together for years, hiding what they were and never staying in one place for long. It was easier to hide when you were moving anyways. After a period of time, neither felt like they were doing enough anymore, and so they moved their travels from Europe to the world. It was during this period in their life that his mother finally became pregnant. With a baby on the way, the two tried to settle into a quiet hidden life in the city; however, it did not last long. The baby was fine and strong, but his parents didn’t feel attached. It was just another thing to them. They gave the child to some of their own kind to raise, and without a backwards glance his parents had left, disappearing into the movement of the world once more. Mael felt like a burden, even though he knew it was not his fault and that his new parents had wanted a child of their own anyways. He felt too stuck, and the second he hit his adulthood, ---- was out of the house and had his mind set on picking out his own little niche in the world somewhere, hiding the tail within his pants, and trying to keep the ears and horns he would not trim concealed under a large furred hood of a jacket. What he hadn’t counted on was the growing trend in kimono slaves. Nor had he anticipated the windy gust that would blow his hood down and expose him. And Mael certainly hadn’t taken the slave master into account. Now he's captured, and with no say in his own future, something he is not comfortable with... Mael carries many features of an antelope. The most obvious is probably the twin set of horns that protrude from his skull, which start about one inch back from his temple. Ridged near the bottom, they smooth out the closer you get to the tip and Mael has always been anal about keeping them looking nice. Where some girls or guys might spend time on their hair, he has always paid more attention to his horns and left his hair to sit messily. The condition has always been important to him, and he would vehemently oppose cutting them off, even if it meant he could blend in more easily. Mael doesn’t just prefer to not eat meat. It’s actually hard on his digestive system to try and digest meat that isn’t ground extremely fine and mixed with fillers. It’s never seemed odd to him and he’s never craved meat; it’s just the way his body has been built. It all balances out however with the unusually sharp eyesight, hearing, and smell that goes with his body. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OOC Name: Naddy/Skeeter Other Characters: none yet~
