Likes: • flowers -- While his childhood was not a complete flop, Lore has few memories that he really cherishes. Of the handful he does posses, summer days spent in the family gardens with his grandmother and elder sister are the ones that stand out in stark contrast to his otherwise gray-hued memories. He would make wreaths and laurels with them, taught how to grow various plants and learned the semantics of beautiful greenery. It became something of a passion for him and while he does not do much gardening actively since those humbling days, he does still tend to a variety of exotic plants.
• women -- What isn’t there to like about a creature prone to obeying emotional urges? As wonderful as the gender ruled by exorbitant amounts of estrogen is, they are more often than not; they key deliverers of exasperation and unnecessary stress. Not that they cannot be useful and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with, they do have the tendency to garner more trouble than they are worth decidedly. However, Lore has learned that if nothing else, a woman is ruled by her emotions. He has discovered ways to manipulate them into seeking his services considering most of his sales are produced mostly by his female patrons. So naturally, he cannot help but like how easy they are to be coaxed.
• being independent -- It is a freedom he has waited too long to taste and now that he has sampled the tang that is independence, Lore cannot see himself going without it. Ever since his teenage years he has dreamed of thriving without the shadowing worry of familial opinions bearing down on him. His life had been a suffocating affair and his misery was never acknowledged and many times went unnoticed by those who were supposed to have his best interests at heart. When he says that he is thankful that his father was a raging homophobe he is not being sarcastic for it was what allowed him to shrug off the domineering coils of his family and pursue a life as he saw fit. He enjoys the struggles of making a living, the liberties he can now take since he is now law onto himself and need the approval of no one.
Dislikes: • the word pretty -- It is not unheard of for an individual to loathe a word, there are many that the population finds vile or derogatory, however it is a different matter entirely to hate such an innocuous word. Lore hates to hear the word ‘pretty’ being spoken in proximity to him and he visibly tenses upon hearing it uttered. It does not matter whether the adjective in question is being directed at him or something else but he has bad memories associated with that particular piece of vocabulary and cannot help being defensive.
• sweets -- Seems rather unusual that a man who runs a café does not hold any particular fondness for the confections he creates but he has never really enjoyed them and nothing has really changed that. He can tolerate them, he suffers from no adverse affects upon eating them but he may develop a headache if he eats too many.
• being nice -- One would be hard pressed to understand the difficulties that comprise this particular displeasure but for lack of a better way of labeling it, Lore does not like to be nice – or rather act nice when he does not want to. His previous lifestyle had been wholly dictated by pleasantries, with the political clout his family boasted the idea of being anything short of a saint was unacceptable in their household. The stringent rules and obligations of his lineage made it impossible for him to voice anything but agreeability and subservience to the point where his unspoken displeasures became a personal poison and created more stress than he could handle. It resulted in a physical condition. His immune system is weak due to his mental strain and personal denials, he often becomes lightheaded whenever he allows too many of his unvoiced troubles accumulate.
Positive Traits: honest • empathetic • cultured • amiable • persuasive • confident • pragmatic • intuitive • creative • mature • impartial • thoughtful

Other: Lore was born the middle child of an esteemed family where nothing but perfection was tolerated. While the Greek political system was not as stringent and guarded as it was in years past, many of the parties still active did not veer from the paths made by their forefathers before them. Lore’s family, the Legacy’s, were no different in that aspect and were quick to remove anything of relative novelty that would not directly support their own ventures. Anything that was new and untried, that ran the risk of interfering with their own pursuits was quickly declared as blasphemous and rejected. Because of that authoritative way of production, Lore’s father was very much the same at home as he was at work, a heavy-handed man who did not ask for his household members to conform – he demanded it. If anything was not to his liking it was immediately made known and his Japanese wife was not one to go against him in anything, which allowed him that tyrannical reign he had over his three children.
His elder sister was especially close to their father and was separated by a four-year age gap from him. But the difference went unnoticed by the siblings who were grateful for one another’s companionship considering they were often sent to very prestigious schools and their playmates were those from wealthy backgrounds as well meaning some were spoiled and unfriendly due to constant pampering. They were tempered from that lifestyle at a young age and thus did not see themselves as better than anyone but were unhappy with the arrangements of their education – not that they dared say anything about it.
Soon after Lore was given a younger brother, a six year difference in age placed his younger sibling in a rather awkward position because by that time Lore had other things to worry about and rarely had time to spare on his sibling. This left the little boy as little more than an afterthought as he was shuffled to extra curricular activities and bred to be the perfect ambassador of the family since he was the eldest male and his father was something of a chauvinist.
Lore gradually began to despise his way of life, toted around like some sort of show dog whenever his father brought him to events. His grades were never allowed to slip and on the rare instance that it did his father, for not being good enough, hounded him relentlessly. It was in his mid teens that his father began to verbally abuse him and it was then that Lore began to associate the word ‘pretty’ with only bad experiences, as his father would often say it to degrade him. Needless to say it worked, it infuriated him and made Lore grandly insecure until he suffered from an ulcer at sixteen due to stress.
Doctors recommended therapy to see if the sessions could alleviate some of their concern but his father refused to have him seen and whisked him away to torment him for his weakness. Unable to do anything against the older man Lore gradually began to sink into depression and hid his anguish by acting as his father wanted, showing nothing but smiles and cordiality to everyone and wallowing in his misery when he was alone.
It was only by chance that another student happened upon him crying in his second year of college. His peer consoled him and soon they became friends, something that Lore clung to desperately and felt that he needed the others approval to get through his life. It wasn’t until he began to make advances on him that Lore began to reassess himself and likewise started to explore his sexuality with both men and women. He discovered he was not partial to either gender and agreed when his friend asked if he would go out with him.
In the most cliché of scenes his father happened upon them kissing and raged at him for the dishonor of being a homosexual. Responding to the anger he felt at never being what his father seemed to want Lore reacted violently and bludgeoned the man with the cane his father would carry with him. It took his younger brother and mother to keep him from truly killing the man and after taking him to the hospital for treatment it was decided that Lore should not stay. His mother did not like the idea but could see no other way for them to exist unless one of them killed the other – which was more likely to happen than anyone wanted to think extensively about.
After wiring money into an account for him Lore left for Japan and reunited with his family on his mother’s side and soon became a young entrepreneur at twenty two.
