So besides lowering themselves to sell their son but no longer wanting to deal with the temptation, they left him alone, cleaning their home out without a trace and leaving the boy who'd just returned from playing to find his only family in the world had left him with no explanation. He assumed the worst but more importantly realized how unsafe it was for him to be alone like this. But it was too late for him. As soon as the kemono without the safety of his family he was taken in, labelled as a slave, and tossed with the rest of the unfortunate just waiting for someone to purchase him like a mere possession. He wasn't sure how to react at that point and couldn't understand a word of his captors, the frightened boy yelling out pleas and questions in his only language he knew and soon grew to realize there was no escape. He would just have to accept his fate and has since been waiting for someone to just take him and hope for the best. Over the years of being confined, he's began to pick up on what his captors were saying and slowly began to understand the more simpler words.
